The Sacred Evening Routine

What does your evening routine look like?
Is it just you following the motions of shower - dinner - bed (or whatever other order), or do you have an intentional routine to help your mind and body relax after a long day?
If you don't, I'm here to encourage you to start. The quality of your days depend on it. Here are some ways, you can be more conscious about your before bed activities:
- Turn your shower time into a mindful ritual
Light a candle or diffuse your favorite essential oil synergy - an aromatic spritzer works great too. Step into your shower and apply your Smoothing Body Masque after cleansing. I recommend using the body masque twice weekly, to add that relaxing spa element, while you savor your alone time. When you are about to rinse, imagine the water washing away everything from the day that has been overwhelming. Allow the steady stream to wash away any worries.
- Write down your thoughts
Take inventory of your day. What kind of day did you have? Do you think it was successful? Did you experience any setbacks? What are you grateful for? This is an excellent way to help rid your mind of negative thoughts, so you can focus on the good and fall asleep easier.
- Pressure Therapy
Apply a weighted Therapy Pack. This will help soothe any aches or pains you may be having. If you find it hard to fall asleep at night, the weighted Eye Mask will do the trick. When applied to the eyes, it stimulates the vagus nerve, that signals your body to relax. The gentle pressure will guide your mind and body into deep restful sleep.
When deciding which rituals to include in your end-of-day routine, it is important to remember that your lifestyle and preferences are unique. Feel free to tweak and tailor rituals to your liking.
